The Madame Tussauds wax

The Madame Tussauds wax museum is best known in the world. It has the largest collection of celebrity figures. The museum headquarters is in London, but there are also stores in other major cities around the world.

The technique used by Marie Tussauds to perform their work was based wax, which he learned to shape under the teaching of his tutor Philippe Curtius while working as his housekeeper. The wax is an ester of fatty acids which is obtained by an esterification process, which is a "chemical reaction between a carboxylic acid and an alcohol" 1 Before any process, the wax in its natural condition is extracted from the honeycombs of bees.

the first exhibition of waxworks of Curtius in 1770 was conducted, which attracted a large audience. The exhibition moved to the Royal Palace in Paris in 1776. A second exhibition on the Boulevard du Temple opened in 1782, the "Caverne des Grands Voleurs" precursor of what would be the House of Horrors. At 19, Marie became art teacher sister of King Louis XVI of France so he moved to live in the royal court of Versailles Palace. Dr. Curtius when he died, inherited his collection Tussauds waxworks. In 1835 the exhibition of Madame Tussauds settled permanently in London, which could be accessed by paying sixpence. Madame Tussauds sculpted busts of Necker and the Duke of Orleans. He was also the author of a wax sculpture of Marie-Jeanne du Barry, mistress of King Louis XV. Also modeled the faces of Marat, Louis XVI and Robespierre, among other guillotined, currently exposed in the section called "House of Horrors" the Tussauds Museum.
